Great article. I think we get bogged down by the fact that there's no objective physical sign of value. While there is no objective metric outside our minds, I do believe that our minds should and do stand as objective arbiters of value, collectively speaking.
If science is considered objective because enough people have checked something and agreed that it's accurate, or least not falsifiable, then we can do the same as individuals. Enough people, with biases checked or accounted for, in agreement on a thing, is what creates objective value and objective reality.
