‘79

When I hear that beat from ‘79
I ride the waves back to a simple time
Where our only concerns were good sex, champagne and coffee

When I watch those kids
Kissing in the streets
I wonder if they know how much those moments mean

When I walk past the patio
The smell of sun and smoke
Takes me back to our summer drives

And when I drive over the water
Down the street with the swan mailbox
I remember the first time I ever felt
The magic of our love

When I hear that beat from ‘79
I ride the waves back to a simple time
Where our only concerns were good sex, champagne and coffee
