TooDo? What is it? a wrong spelling? Well, it can not be recognized in a lot of places, but I think you guess it out. Actually, it is an app with an easy way to share your To-Do list with your family, friends, co-works. As the name telling you, you want to share the item on your to-do list so that they can cover it for you. How great!
If you are a busy mom or busy worker or both and do not have time to manually entering your to-do-list for the day on your phone or your computer, or you cannot spell right a lot of times, this app is for you! you can talk to TooDo, TooDo will handle the voice and convert it to text and put it on your to-do list.(BTW, this app works same for a busy Daddy)
Your wife wants you to pick up your daughter, you wish she could share the detail with you instead of you have to manually re-enter all information on your phone. You got it! TooDo get it all covered for you!
Idea:The idea actually came exactly like what I said above. I am a busy working mom, every morning, I spent quick a time on entering my to-do list on my phone or computer. I always wish that I can talk on the phone while I drive to work instead of spending a dedicate time on just entering the to-do items for the day. I also often need to collaborate with my husband on my daughter’s activities. I always wish I can simply click a button to share my to-do items with him so that he doesn’t need to spend the time to reentering everything and we can get her covered efficiently and seamlessly.
Market research and needfinding: with the initial ideas, we did a market research by interview users, including small business owners, such as a hairstyle designer and professional workers, students, with questions on how are they handle all the situation in above. Basically, the interview results confirmed the needs of the voice entering enabled app and the sharing function.
Design and prototypes: we collected the most important scenarios/tasks from the user interviews, we designed the scenarios, storyboard, analysis tasks. then we come up with some preliminary design prototypes in black and while. The prototype was first created by pencil and paper, then black/white prototype with Balsamiq, then adding interaction with invision.
User Testing: The next step was iterations of user testings, which include, self-testing, peer-review testing, then general user testings. in each iteration, we learn many new things, such as skipped a screen, missing buttons to the confirmation message may not make sense. In the last, we re-done some high-fidelity prototype with UXpin, Photoshop, and Invision.
That all of the story of the TooDo so far…
