Very disheartening but I wonder how this measures up to the television (non-network) series in the past year. (Although 18 months may be a better time frame since series on cable and Netflix, Amazon, HBO, etc. are not on the usual Jan-Dec. schedule.) My gut tells me that meatier roles are being written for women at the moment. Hoping, at least. Perhaps Elizabeth and Margaret are too fresh in my mind from The Crown.
