This is a really intelligent post, and although I think we may be on opposite sides of some issues, I respect your points here.

The one thing I’m not really on board with was that Obama was the sole factor in all these events occurring.

It’s funny, I’m a Berkeley progressive liberal, but I don’t believe the world is any of the things you attributed to progressives (except that the world is global :p and multicultural). I actually believe the things you attributed to culturalists.

And thus, I agree. We need to bring both sides together. Because really, we are not that different. We are all Americans who (mostly) want the best for our kids, our economy, and our country.
