The third book I would like to recommend is L’Art de la Liste. I bought it thinking it was a practical self-help book, but it is actually poetry to me. The writing of the author Dominique Loreau has some sort of therapeutic effect and makes me want to continue reading.

The only list I used to keep was a to-do list, which should be a common practice. This book makes me realise that lists are not here to remind us of what we do not want to do. Keep lists helps us examine and curate our lives. In turn, these lists become works of art in our lives.

I have also read/ am reading two other books written by Dominique Loreau, namely L’Art de la Simplicité and L’Art de l’Essentiel. Both are as enlightening and therapeutic. They make me understand that simplicity does not mean hardship; a simple life can be luxurious and beautiful.

P.S. L’Art de la Liste and L’Art de la Simplicité are published in English (probably in French as well), while L’Art de l’Essentiel should be available in French only.
