Ryan is cool, glad you know him! My personal opinion is that no matter how far technology advances, the soul will never be able to be digitized. What is the difference between the physical body, or the brain the second before death and the second after? All the same matter is present, all the essential ingredients for what we call life are there, but yet, the person is dead. The soul then, to me, seems to be something metaphysical, something beyond our ability to measure, duplicate, control, digitize or upload. I may be proven wrong, but that is my current view.
