Choose one of the Semantic / Web 3.0 / data visualisation services discussed and explain how it could change the way we use the web
The Semantic Web provides a common framework that allows data to be shared and reused across application and enterprise. Tripit is an application that utilises semantic publishing on the web to group objects and features.

Tripit allows the user to enter all of their travel details such as electronic tickets, hotel reservations and car-hire bookings straight from any travel website to a central repository that Tripit will run. Tripit’s implementation of the semantic web and its common framework will allow them to sort the information that you provide and group the data appropriately. The software will then annotate the data with driving directions, weather forecasts, details about connecting flights and even restaurant recommendations.

Tripit’s use of the semantic web is an example of how it could change the way in which we use the web. For example, if I was using Tripit when travelling I wouldn't have to make individual Google searches for directions or gate numbers for a connecting flights, the app would do everything for me. While it could make us over reliant on applications, it does make everything much easier by combining data from multiple sources and providing it to us in one central location with real-time updates. The semantic web also makes information more relevant or useful when searching. When looking for restaurants it would enable Tripit or Google to give me restaurant recommendations with ratings based on my exact location rather than a City.
