Hard Solar Realities in Puerto Rico
Anson Fogel

In case you didn’t know, Puerto Rico built a nuclear power plant in Rincón in 1960s, on the western side of the island. It was shut down for safety reasons and its carcass is clearly visible on Dome beach, named after, you guess it, the Dome that covers the nuclear power plant. Nuclear is not an option for Puerto Rico. An accident like Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, or Fushima could wipe out the entire island and we have no place to dispose of nuclear waste.
