‘many of the laws of economics are far more like the rules of a game than like the laws of nature.’ Certainly true and in my experience in a developing country, norms and culture are more power than policies.
In my country (Kenya) it’s obvious capital needs to be invested in productive industries like manufacturing, modern farming methods but alas capital goes into land and buildings. One might argue capital owners are responding to uncertainty and unpredictability of the environment but this isn’t in the best interest of the society.
