Do you belong to God? -Genesis 37:5–11 & 39–41:33–49.

A Prime Minister (Vizier) at 30 years?! (going through the fire of slavery, imprisonment & wrongful persecution) .

Joseph had a dream as a young man at 17 years that changed His life forever (Genesis 37:5–11). Joseph became a dream interpreter in prison, Joseph went through slavery and became head of slaves in Potiphar’s house but Joseph never saw Himself as a slave (slaves don’t disobey their master or master’s wife or children). Joseph was a servant of the most high God and was obliged to obey only Him even in the face of trials, temptations, prison & everywhere He went including at Potiphar’s house.

Also Daniel was reigning in the midst of evil/mean men, He was only found to default regards the law of His God. Daniel 6:5 -“Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God”. Jeremiah 29:1–14 & Daniel 9 -Daniel was on a mission to reign for 70 years before Jerusalem will be rebuilt and He excelled in it because He reverenced Almighty God. He stayed on the Lord’s side always.

Joseph went through slavery, imprisonment before He was 30 years?! Of-course, and He lost His mother (Rachel) too before He went through all of these, His mother died shortly after giving birth to Benjamin (His younger brother). Joseph could have been a spoilt child if he wanted to, by daddy Jacob (Israel) since He was already treated as daddy’s favorite son, but He choose to be a blessed child by God by obeying God no matter what.

If you are a governor, a director, a doctor (degree or medical), an entrepreneur, a nun, head of state, president etc at 30 years of age, you are not an overachiever because Jesus ministry started at 30 years and ended at 33 years (mission completed), and in John 14:12 -Jesus said, “greater things than He did so shall we do also”.

Daniel was on a 70 years mission in Babylon as a young prince (between 14 -15 years old) while taken hostage and taken into exile. He was turned to a eunuch in tough times in captivity in Babylon, yet He excelled and His wisdom was unmatchable/unparalleled. I tell you, Daniel was the one reigning throughout those years because the kings sat on empty exalted thrones/chairs though made with gold or wore fine apparels, they were without wisdom (fear of God) and died like mortal men, Daniel lived on and was relevant all through, seeing 4 kings reign and die, until Cyprus. God went on to fulfill His outcry to see Jerusalem rebuilt after those fruitful & faithful 70 years of service to Him.

Whatever situation you find yourself right now, remember, you are on a mission. I am on my way to my high places of this earth and I must reign. There is a place of lifting for every child of God. There is something that you were meant to fix perfectly more than anyone else.

Note that Joseph interpreted Pharaoh's dream and told Him what He needed to do, He did not impose Himself as manager or prime minister. Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God”. The qualities needed was “discernment and wisdom” and none had it in the whole of Egypt except a prisoner who had no citizenship or good records in this foreign land but serves Almighty God. Pharaoh’s only quality to appoint was, “in whom is the spirit of God” = discerning and wise man. God qualifies the called and gives grace to the humble. Joseph feared God (holy reverence = wisdom = The power of the life-giving Spirit) and it saved Him from been subject or been held in bondage to the flesh by Potiphar’s wife (spirit of fornication & adultery -power of sin that leads to death), He would have lost His throne & would only have ended up as head of slaves in Portiphar’s house if He was not found out and killed. Note that Potiphar was an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard and now Joseph became His master. That means Joseph can judge Him and His wife after His enthronement but He never did.

Many of you reading this, you are going through very unlikely situations in that country after sending yourself into exile or going for a better life, but now, from one rejection to another & you wonder to yourself if it was not easier to submit to immorality or crime for the present benefits that will be made available. God’s way may take you to the prison, through slavery but God’s grace will keep you for a time for your enthronement. If you focus on Jesus alone and reverence God, you will surely be preserved in Jesus Name Amen (Romans 4:17). Jesus is Lord. All glory to Almighty God.
