Meditate. Don’t take it too seriously (don’t need the mumbo-jumbo), but spend some time alone with your own mind. Just 5 minutes is enough. If you cannot sit still for 5 minutes, that tells you a lot.

Yes, this is probably one of the simplest recommendation, yet so hard. And yes, not being able to sit quietly for 5 minutes is all someone needs to be convinced this should not be an optional practice.
