Everyone is sleeping but the lights are on? This makes no sense. People rarely sleep with the lights on in that room, so turning off any remaining lights implies going to another room and hence, there would be less disturbance to sleepers from someone speaking in a normal tone.

That being said, yes, VAs should come with (adjustable but already activated) scheduled modifications to things like the device’s speaking volume, etc.
