What I learned from a year of dumpster diving in Australia

This is an amazing story, so thank you for sharing it.

What’s interesting is that I live in the poorest country in Europe, a place where people truly do live on the knife edge of poverty, and yet even here, I see large quantities of viable food being thrown away.

We’re not talking about tossing an apple because of a bruise, either. What I see in “dumpsters” is a lot of bread, but also sometimes cheese, dairy items, and the occasional fruit/veg.
