How to Become LIC Agent in Chandigarh

There are 5 easy steps to becoming LIC Agent.
Step 1. : Register with LIC.

1.1 To become LIC Agent you need to register with LIC’s branch office through the development officer.
1.2 For New LIC Agent Registration you need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria :
1.3 Minimum 18 Years & above.
1.4 Minimum S.S.C. Passed & Above.

Step 2. : Upload Documents and Pay Fees.

2.1 The next step is to submit documents and pay the required fees as follows :
2.2 Necessary documents to become LIC Agent :
2.3 2 Colour photographs.
2.4 Age Proof
2.5 Educational Proof: S.S.C. / H.S.C. Marksheet.
2.6 Pan Card Copy.
2.7 Address Proof: Aadhar Card / Passport / Ration Card / Electricity Bill.
2.8 Canceled Cheque for commission purposes.

Fees required to Become LIC Agent :
2.9 2 Colour photographs.
2.10 Rs 150 = Registration Fees.
2.11 Rs 200 = Online Training Fees. (Note: Classroom Training is free).
2.12 Rs 502 = IRDA Exam Fee. (Note: To be paid online to NSE IT).

Step 3. : Undergo 25 Hours of online or Classroom Training.

3.1 After submission of the documents, you will have to undergo 25 hours of IRDA-prescribed training.
3.2 You can select the following 25 hours of training options :
3.3 Online Training.
3.4 Days Classroom Training (Time: 10.30 am to 5.30 pm)/ (Monday To Thursday)

Step 4. : Pass IRDA Exam.

4.1 On completion of the 25 hours of training, you need to pass the IRDA exam by scoring 17 marks out of a total of 50 marks.

Step 5. : Get an Appointment Letter.

5.1 After successfully passing of IRDA exam you will get an “Appointment Letter” from LIC and now you can start your own LIC agent business.
