We Did It!

Our first year of homeschooling is complete. Honestly we loved it. There were ups and downs, as with anything, but overall it was an amazing experience for the entire family.

It was really scary to leave school and tackle homeschooling our nine-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter. We want to chronicle our journey, both for ourselves and for others who may be looking for an educational alternative but don’t know where to turn. It wasn’t until a friend of mine pulled her daughter out of school to homeschool that I realized, “Wait. You can do that?!”

I’m not an educator or a researcher, just a parent who knows that school wasn’t working for our family. I share our experiences as just that: one family’s journey down a different path.
