Growing Up
Wow. Here I am, currently a senior at the school I call Evergreen Valley. It’s been nearly four years, and I can’t believe or even begin to realize how fast the experience has been. As the year dwindles down to the month of December, this is usually when I start to reflect on what I’ve done, and anything I can do to improve myself for the next year. But, one thing I learned that I am going to change is this: “Don’t grow up thinking about what to do next, but rather, think about what you should focus on that one specific aspect about yourself and grow upon that.”
Growing up shouldn’t be a process of wanting to change yourself or to dwell on why it’s gone by so fast, and wishing you could be a kid again. Instead, carry on, and strive to enjoy life as time flies. The more we worry, think, and reflect, the less time we have to actually commit and accomplish those goals we have in mind.
