What is the structure of the mobile phone screen? Why do you disassemble the mobile phone screen and look at multiple layers?

There are currently two main types of mobile phone displays, LCD and OLED. OLEDs are generally used in mid-to-high-end mobile phones.

LCD,OLED,LED

Let me talk about LCD first: it is a liquid crystal display, which has been used for many years. Simply put, it is a multi-layer sandwich. From bottom to top, it can be divided into backlight (providing white surface light source), lower polarizer, and Array layer (TFT drive circuit) , Liquid crystal layer, color filter layer, upper polarizer. The LCD can form a color picture because of the existence of the color filter layer (CF), which converts the white light passing through the liquid crystal into corresponding red, green, and blue sub-pixels, and then controls the deflection of the liquid crystal through the IC to control the sub-pixels corresponding to red, green, and blue. The brightness of the pixels, so that different colors can be mixed. On the surface of the polarizer on C, there is generally a layer of touch screen (Touch Panel), which mainly plays the role of information input for human-computer interaction. There are also some high-end LCDs that can integrate the touch screen into the Array layer. Touch screens are generally provided with protective glass, and they are stacked together to form an LCD screen. Of course, the backlight, Array, LCD, color film, and touch screen are all stacked with multiple layers, so they are not disassembled, which is more complicated. The current LCD screens are all hard screens.

Let’s talk about OLED: OLED has heat dissipation film/support film/substrate/Array/evaporation/package/TP/polarizer/front cover glass from bottom to top. The OLED display industry is divided into two types: hard screen and soft screen. The main difference between the two is that the substrate and packaging layer of the hard screen are glass and cannot be bent. The substrate of the flexible screen is flexible PI, and the packaging layer is thin-film packaging. Therefore, It is flexible. The folding screens, curved screens on the market, and Xiaomi’s surround screens are all flexible OLED displays. There is no difference in essence, but the materials used for different laminates are different. Similarly, heat dissipation film/support film/substrate/Array/evaporation/packaging/TP/polarizer/front cover glass, these modules can also be subdivided into many film layers, taking flexible OLED display as an example, heat dissipation film is generally There are four layers, two layers of support film, three layers of substrate, more than ten layers of Array, about ten layers of evaporation, three layers of package, five layers of integrated TP, and 5~6 layers of polarizer. Even the front cover Glass with anti-fingerprint AF film on the surface
