AI on the way
Microsoft has launched Microsoft 365 Copilot, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing to enhance the productivity of Microsoft’s suite of applications.
Copilot integrates with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and more, providing natural language prompts to create status updates, write emails and summarise meetings. Copilot’s GitHub data shows that it unlocks productivity for developers, who say they are 88% more productive and can focus on more satisfying work.
Copilot is not only a productivity tool; it creates a new knowledge model for every organisation, harnessing the untapped data and insights within the company. It aims to enhance users’ existing skills and encourage users to master new ones, unlocking the full potential of the Microsoft 365 suite of applications.
The technology giant’s CEO, Satya Nadella, announced the launch, stating that “With our new copilot for work, we’re giving people more agency and making technology more accessible through the most universal interface — natural language.”
