Episode Two

McDonald Observatory. March 2016 (📷 Sony a6000/12mm)

Why does this picture look like I was jumping up and down when I took it? It’s simple — I was taking long exposures in West Texas on one of the windiest days I’ve ever experienced. Initially, I was upset that this picture didn’t come out sharp due to the wind shaking my camera, but I’ve fallen in love with it now. The wind moved my camera in the perfect direction to make the stars resemble a swirl. Interesting note: it was actually pitch black outside, but the cars driving down the mountain kept messing with my shots, hence the light on the ledge.
