Figuring out whether I’m doing something for the sake of doing it or if it’s going to bring fulfillment later on is a hard problem that I also face.

I think what helps me is to imagine what kind of person I want to be and what kind of life I want to have 3, 5, 10 years from now. Of course, these things can change over time too.

However, as of right now, I know that I want to have a good job in tech, become a well-known writer and professional/semi-pro pole dancer. Because these are my goals and I have these goals in mind, I am able to better determine if the stuff I’m doing is for the sake of doing or for the sake of future.
