Scary Times Call for Sane Measures
Here is a scary thought: just over half of millennials in the United States approve of socialism. That’s a nightmare that would give Freddy Krueger a run for his money. The white fangs of communism and socialism have sunk deep and are sucking the blood of young minds — soon enough they’ll be sucking your money and freedom. Karl Marx’s ideas, which should be forgotten and shamed, are still quite popular. This is because of poor education and the seductive tone these ideas tend to take on. Some think he his ideas have never been tried. However, no amount of utopian language can dress this Frankenstein up. The carnage and wreckage of Marxist ideas are more than enough to be a cause for concern. Look to Venezuela, a country full of natural resources. Yet, the country has been driven into the ground.
What always astonishes me is the cognitive dissonance. The irony is the people who promote these ideas plan on selling you their Che Guevara t-shirts and bracelets. They shout and rail all day on Facebook or Twitter. They’ll rail on about the west and the free market, but don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. In the case of Vanity Fair, they write from magazines that have capitalized on capitalism. That’s the beauty of capitalism. Useless things like Vanity Fair can still exist if there is someone willing to pay for it; you have the freedom the revel in its uselessness. Not to mention, you can binge your episodes of Bill Maher as laughs along with Jim Carrey at the critics of socialism.
Another scary thought: belonging to the government. There are some out there that think the government is your daddy. All your rights come from it. God has very little to do with it. Speaking of God, it’s pertinent to point out the atheistic tendencies of Marxism. So, if you like your guns and religion, you might want to think twice. In fact, thinking might have dire consequences if you accept Marxist ideas.
