Proverbs Devotional — Day 2

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭2:6 — 8‬ ‭MSG‬‬

“And here’s why: GOD gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding. He’s a rich mine of Common Sense for those who live well, a personal bodyguard to the candid and sincere. He keeps his eye on all who live honestly, and pays special attention to his loyally committed ones.”

Yesterday I wrote about starting with God. Let everything we do starts with the Lord and the above verse tells us why.

If we start with Him, He gives out Wisdom to us free.

If we start with Him, He tells us plainly what we need to know and understand.

If we start with Him, there’s a reservoir of Common Sense we can draw from and use.

If we start with Him, He will personally watch our backs and protect us.

If we start with Him, He will keep His eye on us and gives us His special attention.

When He gives us His special attention, all of heaven’s resources are available to us. When we do what He tells us to do, He will also equip us and gives us the tools for what is needed to complete and finish the assignment He had given to us.

We will have wisdom, knowledge, understanding, common sense, favour with Him and His protection and coverings. I say it’s a pretty good deal to start everything with Him.

Just whisper a prayer to Him acknowledging Him, open the Book and hear Him speak to us. He wants to talk to us.

Without Christ, we can do nothing.
