Proverbs Devotional — Day 4
Proverbs 4:26 — 27 AMP
“Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright. Turn not aside to the right hand or to the left; remove your foot from evil.”
“2016 will be a year you learn to walk with God. To walk in God in the New Testament is to walk in the Spirit,” paraphrased from Pastor Prince from yesterday’s sermon.
Walking is deliberate. We choose the destination and we move our feet step by step towards the destination. Therefore, the above verse asked us to consider the path of our feet — where we are walking to, how we walk, why we walk, when we walk, what we are walking on and most importantly WHO we walk with.
Who we walk with will establish our ways. In fact, Proverbs 16:3 says when we commit our works to the Lord, our plans will be established and succeed. Our ways would not just be established by the Lord, it will also be of the Lord. And it will be a safe path.
Let’s not get distracted this year by the bad news and evil reports. Let’s focus on the beautiful face of our Shepherd Jesus and walk in the light of His favour.
Keep Calm and Carry On Walking with Jesus.
Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I(God) give it to you.
