LimX Dynamics Humanoid Robot CL-1 Performs Continuous Heavy Objects Loading
LimX Dynamics, a general-purpose robotics company recently announced the latest technological advancement in humanoid robot’s real-time perceptive loco-manipulation and whole-body control.
In a 3 minutes long one-take video, Humanoid Robot CL-1 demonstrates continuous heavy objects loading among shelves in a simulated warehouse.
Specifics of the simulated warehouse:
- Operation table height: 73cm
- Bottom shelves height: 50cm
- Upper shelves height: 130cm
Specifics of the objects:
- Item: Juice, 300mL (15.87oz)/bottle
- Weight: 4.1kg (9lbs), 8.2kg (18.08lbs)
By enhancing whole-body motion control and real-time perceptive loco-manipulation with hardware upgrades, CL-1:
- adopts multiple postures, including loaded deep squat, loaded stand from a squat, loaded lift, and loaded walking.
- lifts and unloads objects with as much as 80cm vertical span by coordinating leg and arm movements as one.
- filters out unpredictable external disturbances, re-locates the target object, autonomously replans the task, and adjusts its position to place the object at the designated location.
- is powered by self-developed joints offer rapid response speed and high torque density. The stable performance during multiple mobile operations addresses the challenges of long-duration work tasks.
These advancements further unleash the advantages of the general-purpose form factor of humanoid robots. This marks a milestone in the general mobile manipulation and signifies a further enhancement in LimX Dynamics’ embodied intelligence technology.
