7. Sentara Healthcare
Founded in 1888, Sentara Healthcare is non-profit healthcare organization serving six Virginia regions. The company has an employee base exceeding 10,000 and has been rated 4.09 stars out of 5 on kununu.
Sentara knocks it out of the park by allowing employees at every level to share innovative ideas and suggestions and fostering positive relationships among team members.
6. Intermountain Healthcare, Inc.
Intermountain Healthcare, with facilities throughout Utah, lands in the 6th spot on our list. A smaller organization with under 500 employees, Intermountain Healthcare is rated 4.11 stars by its current and former employees, making it a top contender for those seeking a position in the industry.
Established in 1909, Intermountain Stays in the top 10 employers by always seeking innovative ways to grow and improve and providing ergonomic equipment to avoid injuries, aches, and pains.
5. Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
Around since 1884, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center serves patients in New York and New Jersey locations. Employees rate the 10,000+ — person company 4.15 stars out of 5, landing it in the number 5 position on our list.

Despite having over 10,000 employees — which can make extending the company culture a difficult feat — the company has earned a rating of 4.28 stars from it’s employee base.

2. Mercy Hospital
Founded in 1892 by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Hospital’s 1,000–5,000 employees give it an impressive rating of 4.32 stars out of five. With over 25 hospitals and over 300 clinics, Mercy’s reach is far and wide.
Mercy’s foundational principal is that the lesser of these deserve access to medical care despite their ability to pay. Employees take pride in helping those with physical, mental, or developmental disabilities as well as those facing financial hardship.

Our Methodology:
For this top 10 list, we took the top 10 U.S. companies within the textile & design industry with the highest overall kununu score as of 2017. All employee reviews collected since the launch of the U.S. kununu platform (in 2016) factor into the kununu scores in this list. A kununu score is a star rating between 0 and 5 and it is an average rating derived from how kununu reviewers rated 18 different workplace factors at that particular company. These workplace factors include “company culture”, “work-life balance”, “support from management”, “gender equality”, “job security”, “career development” and more. Reviewers consist of current and former employees. Please also note that since kununu is a living and ever-changing platform where employees can freely add their reviews on companies, the scores on this list may differ from the companies’ current scores on kununu.com.
