I’m not surprised! Your writing is really smooth reading. I do think you’d have no trouble doing a technically sound article. Funny thing is, writing technical articles itself isn’t the hard part — conveying technical information in a way people can understand — that’s the hard part. You won’t have any trouble with that part. :)
