Omg, you are right! Brilliant. Yes, of course. So my initial question wasn’t a misunderstanding. Of course — selecting vs. highlighting — that makes perfect sense. Because once you “select” you have a choice of what to do. You can “highlight” or comment, or tweet. (I tend to highlight and comment)

For anyone still confused, here’s a screencap…
First you SELECT the text — then you choose what to do. Sharing on Twitter is a thing you can do, but it’s not highlighting.
