Wow, Rob I certainly hear where you’re coming from. It took a few years, but I’ve finally hit poverty level, mostly because I gave up on the rat race. As it turns out, giving up my mobile phone did a lot for my sanity.

Sure, I can’t purchase a box of band-aids since that would be wasteful (you can make perfectly adequate skin protection with a roll of cloth tape and some gauze), but it’s been an eye opener getting to this place, which could happen to anyone without warning.

One of the things I regret from when I was freelancing are the ridiculous health “care” plans I payed into for years. The deductibles alone were enough to require blood pressure meds, but then the plan would not cover the meds anyway, right?
