If I said I was afraid being in a majority black neighborhood, I would probably be accused of racism, but I honestly don’t think I would be subjected to the totally insane level of threats and venom this Tweet elicited.

And yes, more white people are abused by cops than black people, because there are a lot more of us, but when you look at it on a per capita basis you get a very different, and far more disturbing picture. And while race is not the only factor in the increase in the number and severity of undue force incidents with cops, it’s hard to deny that race IS a factor.
