Self Expression
To be in the flow. To let it be as it is. To move without restriction. What a nice concept. How do we do what the heart wants, when the mind thinks something else? How do we know if the heart is the right way when the gut is saying something else?
How do we stay true to ourselves, in relationship to another?
How do we even learn how to listen to the body? Learning how to listen is a never ending process that grows in depth the more it is done. It is never finished.
Our mind likes to have a clear beginning, middle and end. What if it is the idea of an end that causes fear?
Self expression. What does it look like, when we have contradictions, oppositions, decisions, choices, fears. How do we make up our mind in any given moment. The little things: food, clothes, or which event.
How do we stay connected to ourselves in relationship to another, when we love each other so much!? What if, me listening to my body, and not doing what everyone else is doing is the greatest gift to myself and the community?
If we don’t know what we want, and we do something we don’t want, it changes the possibility of what else? Sometimes we just get a no, no explanation, and without an explanation, often the mind perceives this as a maybe. And because the mind wants to know, often we say yes to a maybe, in fear of the unknown.
This is all confusing. The body knows. Our gut is instinct. Our heart is desire. Our mind is logic. The idea is to not turn off the mind, but to use the mind as a tool into the body! Is it a trick? It’s a trick and a tool.
Self expression. In relationship to another, if you do not stay connected to yourself you are not expressing yourself. You are expressing a compromised idea of the relationship. It is a compromise, you are losing yourself. If your body is a no, the answer is no.
Of all of the cells that we are made of, of all of the organs that we do not know how they function, our mind is never as smart as our body.
How are we going to express ourselves when we are so concerned about others, what they think, what you can get from them, what they will think of us? We are losing ourself!
What is the worst thing that could happen if you were just yourself?
Can you let go enough to be yourself?
Can you be curious what that looks like, on a never ending journey?
I am.
Yes and more please.
