What’s the deal with eating alkaline, is it really healthier?
I dived headfirst into research about how an alkaline diet can heal and prevent cancer. I was searching hard to prove someone’s statement about how making your body an alkaline environment makes it impossible for cancer to survive. But, I would find article after article explaining that the body maintains the same pH to survive.
I also found that eating an alkaline diet prevents most diseases: surprise, surprise.
“No disease, including cancer, can exist in an alkaline environment.”

That quote has led to people spending ridiculous amounts of money on alkaline water, not knowing that this doctor’s tests were limited to tests outside the human body. And, the human body corrects an abundance of pH to keep the blood slightly alkaline.
Now, about the people who obsessively check the pH of their saliva. I have to talk to them. There has to be more to that story.
A Summary of Alkaline Eating
EAT: fruits and vegetable, legumes (peanuts, lentils, soybeans!), tofu (and other forms of fermented soybeans)
DON’T EAT: coffee (highly acid), fish, dairy (milk, cheese, you know), all processed foods, soft drinks (soda)
I also read that eating this type of diet means avoiding meat, which can mean weaker muscles because of less protein.
I Got Into Dr. Sebi’s Alkaline (Electric Food) Eating
I have to tell you it requires a lot of diligence to avoid GMO and hybrid foods that Dr. Sebi taught about. I’m still struggling with how he directed people not to eat casava. But, we all have to pick our own poison.
