Waxing is mainly used to remove the hair from unwanted areas. Simply, waxing pulls the hair out of its follicle by its root so that it does not resurface for around 3 to 8 weeks. When the hair does grow back, it usually tends to grow back finer and less dense than before.

However, in today’s world we are seeing that it is not only women who are opting for waxing treatments. More and more men see waxing the male body as an alternative hair removal treatment to shaving especially in the chins. However, before they go ahead it is worth all men reading these few tips to make it as hassle-free and painless as possible:

When heating the wax, you should avoid boiling it. Applying a boiling wax is bound to cause severe burns. Since wax catches fire quite easily, you should avoid heating it using a stove or any other exposed flame.

Allergic reactions are a possibility. Therefore, it is recommended that you apply a little wax in advance to a small area of the body to figure out if your skin is allergic to the wax.

Apply the wax thinly. Don’t be tempted to lay it on thick as this is counterproductive to effective hair removal.

Once the wax has been applied, ensure that it is removed by pulling in the opposite direction to the hair growth. Pulling in the same direction will have little or no effect.

If the skin has any burns, abrasions, cuts, etc., waxing the male body should be postponed until the area has healed otherwise it is possible to aggravate the condition and cause infection.

If you suffer from poor circulation then waxing should also be avoided as you are likely to suffer more trauma to the treated area.

Once the waxing treatment has been performed there are certain things that should not be done, at least for 12 hours after the hair removal session has been completed:

Sunbathe or sunbake.

Do not swim in either the sea or a chlorinated pool.

Do not get in a Jacuzzi with other people. Also, since bacteria loves hot and wet conditions, then taking a steaming bath or a bath in a sauna may also cause infection.

One should not apply lotions body that has a strong smell as they may burn the skin.

Be careful about bodily contact with another person as this could pass infection, and certain lubricants can also irritate.

Apply a vitamin E lotion to the treated area after waxing.

Following these hair removal steps for men will help reduce the chance of infection and make a waxing treatment more pleasurable. If doing-it-yourself does not appeal, then several salons especially Waxing in Murphy,Waxing Salon in Murphy will provide expert advice and excellent results. It is worth asking your friends to see if they can recommend any particular salon — you’ll be surprised to learn how many have had a waxing experience.
