After much trying, I’ve found the best Gelato…so far
I’ve managed to upload some pictures from yesterday; connectivity it great, so there’s only a few.
My last cultural visit of the day yesterday was the Santa Croce church. Baedeker in hand #roomwithaviewreference I again skipped the long queue.
The beauty of it was astounding. Several anti chapels and rooms housing religious artefacts and paintings.
Michelangelos tomb was breathtaking. A stroll in the gardens with flowers and the sunshine.
My tick list is almost complete. My legs in spasm from the walking, I made my way back to the hotel.
Today I awake refreshed and look forward to the new day. The sun peeking through the lemon trees in the hotel garden where I now sit.
My plan for the day is to visit the Oltrarno (across the Arno)
Palazzo Pitti and chapels beckon. Sunshine is on offer and the sturdy walking showers are at the ready.
I’ve also undertaken some very challenging research and believe the best gelato could be there.
It had better be good as the banana and chocolate last night was sublime!
