“Don’t wary about what anyone else is saying, live your life how you want to live it, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” -Maia Griffith.

Born in Seattle,Washington16 years ago, on the 18 of September, Maia Griffith spent a short period of only the first 4 years of her life in the hometown of Starbucks which explains her lack of enthusiasm for coffee. In 2003 she moved to Somis California and immediately became BFF with her neighbor and is living up to the title. Even though Maia is a slim blond with blue eyes she does not fit the “barbie doll” stereotype. This girl is serious about her sports. At the age of five she already played softball did gymnastics and danced in a ballet class. When Maia was seven she decided to concentrate on one sport and switched to soccer “i found my place,” she said. But it didnt last forever. “One day I realized that soccer didn’t make me happy, so I decided to quit the team and do journalism”. Maia became her school papers editor and right now is perfecting her skills in the Boston University summer challenge program. She does not know yet for sure what she wants to study later on, but it will most likely be close to the topic of social media. Along with school work and editing a paper, Maia has a hobby of photography that she really enjoys.

A fun fact about Maia: if she was ever trapped on a Deseret island the 3 things she would want to have with her would be:

  1. Seeds
  2. Phone
  3. A trained ( preferably handsome) US marine
