Love? Or Hate?
The choice is black and white.

LOVE? Or HATE?
I’ma say this one time. To those who are blasting Nike, Kap and the NFL: Kap started this movement to draw attention to police brutality, racism and loss of life in his black community out of LOVE for his brothers. He asks that the country he loves, and country in which ALL men are created equal, DO something to acknowledge and repair these problems.
A man who is privileged to have a platform (through his own hard work, by the way) where he CAN draw attention chose to use the opportunity to help HEAL the plight of his brothers. It had nothing to do with the flag, veterans or even the national anthem — anymore than Rosa Parks was protesting the bus. It is a respectful, peaceful, non-violent way to encourage others to LOVE more.
WE who support Kap, his black community and this movement do so out of LOVE for our black brothers and sisters. We want our country to be unified and strong, which means that minorities must be protected and promoted, too.
We are asking you to LOVE more.
Those of you who vilify Kap, the players and those of us who support them, and burn shoes and boycott games are trying to get others to HATE more. You are committed to your misunderstanding of his intentions, which are not up for debate. You are respectfully welcome to your opinion, but can you see that one movement is focused on LOVE for the lives of others and one movement is focused on HATE for something you’ve decided is motivated by something other than what it actually is about? Read the history of Kap’s original intent. You have no choice but to take his word for it. It is not your right to change his motivations because you have your own ideas about what is and is not patriotic. You cannot know what is in the hearts of others unless they tell you.
He told you.
Which should we do: promote LOVE? Or spread more HATE?
