Year.

She was three payments away from bringing her student loans current. She had defaulted, then been taken to court, and then put on a payment plan she couldn’t afford. Then the student loan companies stopped taking credit cards and she had to fork over her bank account number. Every month, she over drafted, and every month, she scrambled to bring her balance up to 0.

But it would be over in three more months, and then her loans would be current and she would qualify for an IBR. It had taken over a year. What would she do with her life then? A year had seemed so long. But it wasn’t long at all. What could she do if she stopped believing a year was a long time? Or five years? Ten?

I write stuff. Check out my books. Or head over here if you don’t wanna read that much, but still like my style and want to show love.
