Don’t Write Like A Writer
Jon Westenberg

Jonathon Franzen said in an interview that he writes for the diminishing audience of “readers.” He explained that readers are that group of people who will take the time to turn off all distractions and spend time in a book, letting their imaginations carry them away. I am a business writer and not a novelist (yet), but I like to believe there are still enough readers out there to make it worthwhile for novelists to write without worrying about the details of building a business. Naive perhaps. But I am a reader and enjoying letting my imagination run wild.
