How AI Tools Helped Me Create a Concise Crash Course to Crack SDE Interviews

In today’s competitive job market, acing software development engineer (SDE) interviews can be quite a challenge. That’s why at Mentro, where I’ve been working in the Founder’s Office for the past few months, we decided to develop a 8+ hour concise crash course to help students and working professionals crack their SDE interviews.

I knew that I wanted to create a course that was both informative and engaging, and I also wanted to make sure that it was as comprehensive as possible. However, I also knew that I didn’t have the time to create the course on my own.

That’s where AI tools came in. I used a variety of AI tools to help me create the course, including: ChatGPT, Predis.AI, Notion AI & Canva AI.

Here’s a breakdown of how I used these tools -

ChatGPT & Notion AI helped me to :

1. Streamline the course development process : by generating the course outline & content quickly and accurately. This freed up my time so that I could focus on other aspects of the course, such as marketing, operations and promotion.
2. Enrich the learning experience : by generating additional resources, such as a comprehensive must-do data structure and algorithms (DSA) questions guide, an interview guide, and some cool e-books. These resources added depth and value to the course, empowering students with the knowledge and tools needed to rock their interviews.
3. Improve collaboration : ChatGPT helped me to improve collaboration with instructors by generating scripts that were consistent and engaging. This ensured that the instructors delivered top-notch lectures, without spending too much time and it also made it easier for me to give feedback and make changes.
4. Increase efficiency : Notion AI helped me increase efficiency by automating tasks, such as generating roadmaps, progress reports & CTAs.

I used Predis.ai to generate videos, reels, and carousels for organic content generation on social media accounts. Here are my key insights :

1. Simplified video creation : Predis.ai made the process of creating videos for social media effortless by allowing me to input my brand logo, colors, and a description of the content needed.
2. Consistent brand identity : By incorporating my brand logo and colors, Predis.ai ensured that the generated videos aligned perfectly with my brand identity, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable presence on social media. Honestly, it’s crazy how simple it was!
3. Engaging content formats : Predis.ai generated a variety of content formats, including videos, reels, and carousels. This allowed me to diversify my social media content and cater to different preferences of my audience.

• Be patient : AI is a powerful tool, but it’s not perfect. It takes time to learn how to use AI effectively. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results immediately. You’ll learn the art of prompt engineering with constant use & experiments.
• Use AI to generate ideas : If you’re stuck in a creative rut, AI can help you generate new ideas for content, projects, or even products.
• Become an all-rounder : AI tools can help you do tasks you have no clue about!
