HTTPS and SOCKS5 are both proxy protocols, but they work differently and serve different purposes.

The main differences between HTTPS and SOCKS5 proxies are:

HTTPS proxies use TLS/SSL encryption to protect data transmission, while SOCKS5 proxies do not use encryption.

HTTPS proxies can only be used to transmit HTTP and HTTPS traffic, while SOCKS5 proxies can be used to transmit any type of TCP/IP traffic.

Both HTTPS and SOCKS5 proxies can be used for the following purposes:

Bypass network restrictions: Some networks may block access to certain websites or services. Using a proxy allows you to bypass these restrictions and access blocked content.

Improved security: HTTPS proxy protects data transmission and prevents hackers from stealing sensitive information.

Improving performance: Proxies can cache frequently accessed content, resulting in faster loading.

If you need a proxy protocol that is secure and easy to use, then an HTTPS proxy is the better choice. If you need a proxy protocol that is fast and has good compatibility, then SOCKS5 proxy is a better choice.
