Cost savings
Typically a single RESTful API endpoint in traditional methods take about a day or more (upto 3 days, from our experience). Each API costs about $160 — $500 to develop alone, barring the maintenance cost along the way. A decent KV store costs somewhere between $2 — $10 per month. There aren’t much products similar to that of FaaE of Speedy, mostly developers have to build one, and any decent effort costs $50 at the minimum.

Pricing
To understand the pricing for Speedy one must understand the concept of ‘Rate Limiting’; which generally refers to limiting/containing the number of requests in a given time period. Speedy works in minute boundary so that requests can be averaged out, a per second would prove to be real costly for the users, hence, we have adapted to minute boundary.
Speedy pricing is straight forward. The pricing is calculated based on number of requests to be allowed/served by Speedy in a month (aka rate-limit). There is no limit on number of definitions, key-value pairs, function endpoints, CPU, RAM, disk and network. This further extends to number of connections from Speedy to backend database too. As a user of Speedy one can open as many database connection as they wish.
A license when purchased is restricted to one single node (aka, the machine or VM or container on which it runs). To purchase additional node license you can mention it in the license purchase itself, so that single license file can be applied on multiple nodes. The cost is simply multiplied with number of nodes it has to support.
