Jessi Thind wins Best Original Screenplay for Lions of the Sea at prestigious international film festival

INDIA, LONALVA — LIFFT WORLD CINE FEST announced the winner of its competition at the awards ceremony December 10 2018. Over 120 films from over 30 countries were screened and judged. Top honors went to Jessi Thind for the Best Original Screenplay which recounts the tumultuous journey of the Komagata Maru from Calcutta to Canada.
Jessi Thind is an award-winning writer and game designer. His novel Saragarhi has been optioned for film. He has several optioned films and two in post-production. He’s also written and designed for such international successes as James Cameron’s Avatar, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider and Arkham Knight. He’s currently a narrative director on the recently announced Unknown 9 project.
