Good article. Good points brought up. Not for a second do I think the tailor is racist. He simply uses ethnicity as a physical measurement. If there were other words for the kinds of body types people had that could be specific enough and efficient enough as a one-word ethnicity, I’m sure he’d use those words. And it would not be remotely racist .But there aren’t. So he is using nationality to identifying a body type. Nothing more.
