100 years

A tad short of a century ago, women gained the right to vote. Let that sink in for a moment.

Today, there is a woman on the Presidential primary ticket. Today, I will cast my vote in Wisconsin for Hillary Clinton. She could be our Nation’s first cisgender female president- Madame President.

Regardless of the historical impact, I believe that HRC is the best candidate. Bernie’s platform reminds me of a child running for class president with promises of candy for lunch. I don’t like Bernie and I don’t trust him. And lately, he’s been behaving like a pompous, privileged white man.

So I’m casting my vote, a right earned less than 100 years ago, for Hillary. And it feels so damn good.

I hope that you vote, too, for whichever candidate resonates the most for you. It was a hard earned right that should never be taken for granted.
