When you forget to smile, be alive and live through all your senses, try this tip! Because we are humans before we are businesses, and being human is much more complex than being a biz!

#1. The Book of Me (365 Ways to Live. Life. Through Your Senses)

Oh, the same old “New Year, New Me!” mentality. Does it ever work? Is it a fad? How about we get better at new beginning i.e. New Year’s goal setting, and write a book about it; a book about you! No, it is not an act of narcissism, but one of bravery. You have the power to steer your destiny however way you want, and why not write a book where the main character is you? If you could have it your way, right now, how do you see your life unfold in the next 365 days? Are you the main character and if so, what qualities do you have? What other characters play a crucial role in your life, and why are these characters important to you? Which places of the world do you travel to, and what experiences will you have? How do you allow your inner beauty to shine on the world at hand? You may not have the entire story readyto go to print, but you will have the core of who you are, and why you will give your 100% best to everything that makes you, you! Each month of this year, focus on improving one thing about yourself and your life- write down what that one thing is, and how you will become better at it. If a “book” is too big and scary, then go for a very long letter… A letter to yourself, that you will read every day in order to remind yourself of who you are and what you are destined to do in the short amount of time you have with all of us. And as life gets in the wayand makes it hard for you to be that person, remember this: “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself” — George Bernard Shaw.

The Book of Me — Step by step strategy:

  1. Buy a new notebook or agenda and title it “The book of me”;
  2. Use the first few pages to reflect on the past year smiles and tears, and what you have learned from it all;
  3. Dedicate the next few pages to the personal values you hold i.e. what is most important to you so much so that if you had to, you would die defending (professional, family, love, parenting, personal growth);
  4. Follow through with a reminder of those people in your life that make your day better, and of those who put you down — what can you do or say in order to meet and keep amazing people in your life;
  5. Ponder upon this world’s hidden beauties, and the places you would like to see and experience this year by writing down the precise location and the main life experience you’d like to gain while visiting;
  6. And finally, how will you give back to this amazing world? Will you put a smile on the faces of everyone you meet? Will you be kinder in tense situations? Will you count 3 seconds before speaking out your mind? Will you start calling people rather than texting them?

Read this every day upon waking up, for the following 30 days, and keep adding pages to it if needed.

Make this year as magical as they get!
