8. Reggie Jackson

There was a time when Kevin Durant and Reggie Jackson made sweet harmony together on the court, but by the time Jackson was traded away to the Pistons, both men were glad to be apart. While Jackson was ecstatic to be out of OKC, Durant as well as Russell Westbrook didn’t seem to mind that he was gone.

Jackson later talked about how he was the considered as “the bad locker room guy” and the “scapegoat” for all of the Thunder’s issues. Clearly, he and Durant did not see eye to eye

7. Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard and Kevin Durant are two of the more exciting young talents to watch in the NBA but at least a little bad blood exists between them now. Last season Durant was named to the All-Star team while Lillard was snubbed (he later made the team due to other players’ injuries). KD had only played in 22 games, leading to Lillard saying he felt “disrespected” for not being named.

Durant eventually responded to the notion, saying “Whoever want my spot can play me 1-on-1 for it.” This was said in a joking manner, but I doubt Lillard was laughing.

6. Kenneth Faried

Having to guard Kevin Durant up to four times a year before the postseason is no easy task; just ask Kenneth Faried. On one occasion, KD got so fed up with Faried’s tough defensive play that he completely pushed him to the ground and then threw the ball his way. That’s not exactly how you make friends.

5. Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard has more than his fair share of haters, and you can add Kevin Durant to that list. During a game in which Durant was sitting with an injury, an altercation occurred between Howard and members of the Thunder. KD eventually chimed in, repeatedly saying to Dwight, “You’re a p**sy!” Rockets-Thunder games should be entertaining this season.

4. LaMarcus Aldridge

The former Texas Longhorns have endured some intense, tough battles over the course of their NBA careers, with the Blazers and Thunder being the best two teams in the Northwest division for quite some time. There is a level of respect between them but they both agreed that they don’t like each other. We can’t imagine that will change much with Aldridge in San Antonio.

3. Tony Allen

Tony Allen has made a career out of frustrating opponents with some of the best individual man defense the league has today. That’s why it was puzzling when Durant said Allen’s defense is simply “okay.”

Perhaps the most documented dispute in Kevin Durant’s career involves Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade. A few years back, Sports Illustrated released a list of their top 10 players in the NBA and had Wade ahead of James Harden. Durant criticized the ranking, which then led to a Twitter dispute between the two of them.
