I’m glad you’re here.

It is very possible that your business is a natural extension of yourself. I know what that feels like for me and I find it to be true for pretty much every business owner. We all have unique qualities and talents and skills and when we find a way to extend them into the market we see a reflection of ourselves.

Once we discover our unique gifts our urge is to take them out into the world so we can earn a living and thrive. Of course that is important for our well-being but there is an even deeper motivation to that urge to go out into the world.

“Here am I” is the call we hear. We desire to learn more about ourselves which requires us to go out into the world — the market — since we are social beings. That is required for us to go deeper and to satisfy our internal desires.

I know that is not an easy thing to do. Our weaknesses stand up and scream!

But all of the stretching and twisting and anxious energy makes a perfectly tilled soil for us to plant the seeds of learning.

Some naively think that all of this churning and upheaval can happen by itself. I strongly disagree. I think that it is nothing but a lack of courage to choose that fruitless “wait and see what happens” path. It is very possible that a lack of a proper education causes that flawed way of thinking.

Deductive thinking does not get enough emphasis in our education. Consider the magnitude of deductive thinking. When the logic of deduction is used the whole process is organic. No fabrications. It is as organic as you are and it is perfectly in tuned to who you are. That is what you want in the market — authenticity!

Deduction starts from the general and goes to the specific. What is your lifetime goal? That is broad. Then, what is your ideal lifestyle so you can achieve your lifetime goals? That is another very broad perspective. As you consider these two very personal expressions of what you want you need to set the date when you will have a mature business, one that supports your ideal lifestyle and your lifetime goals.

This organic process that is perfectly tuned to you is qualitative at its core. Yet because you apply deductive logic to it becomes intimately measurable. You reduce the steps needed to achieve your goals from the period of the next 1–3 years down to the period of the next year, down to the period of the next quarter, down to the period of the next month. Acting on these real goals is transformative.

Since these goals are aligned with your lifetime goals and your ideal lifestyle they take you on that specific journey and that is the journey you want to take. This is how you measure your achievements.

Each and every step takes you in the direction you want to go and transforms you. At any point along the way you will be blown away when you look back and see how much you have grown.

You have extended yourself out into the world and that will be a great source of happiness for you.

Take care.
