Be mean in a nice way

When my daughter was very young she had the most amazing way of stopping time for me. One memory is when we were sitting on the front porch together and I was in my head worrying or thinking about something. She said, “I hear a dog barking. Your turn”. And suddenly there I was, sitting with her on our front porch noticing EVERYTHING. I listened and named what I heard and then it was once again her “turn”. Years have passed. I hear a bird song. Your turn.
