I probably risk offending my young colleagues, but since I’m almost as old as Bernie, I try to carefully impart the message that anger isn’t the answer because anger is what the other side wants. Angry people can’t think straight, as the example here shows. And when anger is combined with frustration, it doesn’t surprise me that young people say things in the heat of the moment. I did. I’m sure everyone else has, too.

We have an example to follow. As long as we keep that in mind, we can avoid being manipulated by the establishment machine into damaging that example’s opportunity to start the change we need to survive as a nation. And no, I don’t think that’s an exaggeration.
