Lisa, this is such an inspiring post. I have always wanted to travel in Italy in particular (as a result of seeing Florence in the film of your book ‘A Room with a View’, coincidently!) but I have never felt that I have had the right travel companion to explore such a magical place in exactly the way I long to. As a result, I’ve never been. Right now, having read your article, I can imagine wandering freely, marvelling at the architecture, drinking in the scenery, sipping coffee as I silently people-watch. Being ‘part of a crowd’ of appreciative onlookers. I feel the warmth of it all already. It makes me smile. Thank you.
